ZRG acquires consulting and advisory firm Walking the Talk

Executive search firm ZRG today announced it acquired Walking the Talk, a consulting and advisory firm focused on culture transformation.

Walking the Talk, launched 11 years ago, operates globally with headquarters in both Europe and North America. The deal expands ZRG’s consulting and talent solutions capabilities, helping its clients address challenging topics like change management and culture transformation, according to Larry Hartmann, CEO of ZRG.

“Walking the Talk’s intellectual property developed by [Walking the Talk CEO] Carolyn Taylor and the team will enhance our ability to understand, measure and assess culture contribution at multiple levels,” Hartmann said. “We see great power in the combination of our two businesses.”

The transaction closed July 2; terms were not disclosed. The Walking the Talk brand will remain and be positioned as a ZRG company. All roles will remain the same with no title changes

ZRG, a portfolio company of RFE Investment Partners since 2018, has started incorporating Walking the Talk’s intellectual property and cultural insights into its Zi platform, which provides an integrated Z Score, compensation tools, interview insights and data on culture fit.

“We see tremendous opportunity to continue to expand our service offerings globally as part of ZRG,” Taylor said. “We intend to use our expertise in the field of culture, behavior and mindset to enhance ZRG’s ability to select the best candidates for clients, evaluating their contribution to the client’s culture goals.”

The deal follows New Jersey-based ZRG’s recent acquisitions of the Sucherman Group — a provider of executive search, leadership development and organization design focused on the media and entertainment industry — and Turnkey Search, an executive search firm focused on sports, entertainment and media.
