Starting a new role?
Aspire for a bigger role?
Building a business?

A well-navigated career is:

–      A combination of decisions based on approximation and precision. Some days you only have a compass to send you off in a general direction and other days you have a detailed street map.

–      Having the capacity to be an actor of your own ideal while you demonstrate the humility and ego to play the fool on the way to becoming the master.

–      Understanding there are multiple versions of yourself, the present version, the 5 year out version, the 20 year out version. You are constantly negotiating with them over time and being capable of deferring gratification along that path for ultimately who aspire to become.

–      Knowing that you are a constant work in progress and to attempt to pursue elite performances on a daily basis. Comparing yourself to who you were yesterday and no one else. The compounding effect of your daily efforts, sacrifices, accomplishments, and outcomes should be your guide.

–      Empowered by thinking of experiences as outcomes and not wins or losses. Keeping score will emotionally distract you.

–      Commitment to being a life-long learner and putting those learnings into true action.

–      Not doing what makes you happy, but what makes you fulfilled.
