Temporary staffing revenue rose a median 27% year over year in October among US staffing firms participating in the recently released Staffing Industry Analysts Pulse Survey. That’s roughly in-line with the 26% year-over-year increase seen in the previous survey that covered the month of August.
Travel nursing continued to post the fastest growth with a median increase in revenue of more than 100% year over year. Per diem nursing and allied healthcare also proved fast growing with October revenue up by a median 48% and 42%, respectively.
Outside of healthcare, the fast growth was in IT and marketing/creative staffing. Revenue in both segments rose by a median 21% year over year.
Also strong, office/clerical temporary staffing revenue rose 19% year over year.
The latest Pulse survey included responses from 163 companies.
